Big Jonny Reid for LAW Mag.
I've known Jonny since i've known clubs in Brighton. John Holt from LAW approached me with the concept of photographing a bouncer for a feature in the 2nd issue of his magazine, being that they are as much of a part of the nightlife as the night itself. I immediately suggested Jonny and when John went along to meet him told me he was perfect for the piece. Jonny is a gentle giant and this opportunity was one of those I was not going to turn down. It was pretty funny asking him to give me that 'cuddly bear' look that I know he has from watching him chat to girls over the years. I think he nearly choked and died when the words came out of my mouth and same goes for the lovely lady he brought along on the shoot aswell!
New issue out now, I will get a tear up on here when I have my hands on a copy and thanks to my boy Harry Mitchell for lending a hand.
Flora Maclean has just graduated from Brighton university with this amazing collection. I was over the moon when she asked me to shoot for her presentation and I couldn't be happier with the results. Modelling is the handsome Jamie Gould. Flora has some great plans for the future which I hope she gets round to soon. She also takes nice pictures herself which you can see on her blog HERE.
I will eventually have a full spread of this collection up on my website.
I can't get enough of this image, I've been staring at it for days and absolutely love it. I'm pretty sure its from Vogue Italia 2004 but I can't find the name of the editorial although someone has uploaded some more pictures from the same shoot HERE. Steven Meisel is an incredible artist with great innovation, a true inspiration to any photographer. He has photographed EVERY cover of Vogue Italia for the past 20 years...
I have started a long term collaboration project with Nineteen89 Records which has got my really psyched. These are outtakes from the shoot I arranged for their first release in May. You can see the final artwork HERE, hopefully i'll have a physical copy to post soon.
